Cheesecakes.... who doesn’t love them? From a classic New York Style (aka “plain”), to a sweet Caramel Apple Crisp, cheesecakes are one of our favorite desserts. That’s why we are so excited to be helping our friend Robert out in his new Cheesecake venture Cheesecake Like No Other (www.facebook.com/cheesecakelikenoother). I have been friends with Robert for over 30 years, and have always admired his passion for cooking, especially cheesecakes. You see, his passion for cooking mimics our love of photography.
Robert has recently relocated up to Queensbury and is making a go of his new business full time. Part of that process is to help him get up and running with social media, take pictures of the inventory for him and help spread the word. We have spent a few days planning our shoot which was much different than taking portraits. Staging, lighting, that all comes into play. It was very exciting to work together (Robert, Cindy and me) and very hard not to eat the “props”!
We started off staging the Chocolate Nightmare - a delectable chocolate cheesecake with a brownie crust topped off with one of the best chocolate ganache I’ve ever tasted.
The Chocolate Nightmare cheesecake is so versatile; it pairs very well with your favorite glass of wine and your favorite cup of coffee. It is truly a flavor favorite, so much so that Robert has already sold this flavor to a local restaurant.
Next up was the Caramel Apple Crisp Cheesecake. Take a look at those apples! Who possibly comes up with an Apple Crisp Cheesecake? Robert does! We staged this beauty in our kitchen, which thank goodness is a country motif!
Finally we finished up our photo shoot with the Classic New York Style and a Vanilla Turtle (see the “prop”?). Both offer a simple but elegant solution to your next holiday or formal gathering and will plate nicely on both your wedding china and everyday setting!
So there you have it! We wish Robert and Cheesecake Like No Other all the best and are looking forward to taking more photos. Speaking of... I wonder what cheesecake we'll be staging next!
